WELCOME TO THE ( I̶M̶ )POSSIBLE.
A PLATFORM FOR THE CO-CREATION AND TRANSFORMATION OF DREAMS THROUGH ARCHITECTURE.
WELCOME TO ARKHAM
In Arkham we believe that every project is a dream. We believe that they’re our window to a world of pure creativity with absolutely no constraints. We’re also aware of the importance of them and of the responsibility that we are granted by the people who trust us. For this reason, it is our daily duty to have the best human team and the necessary tools to make the intangible tangible, to turn ideas into physical forms, to embody dreams in habitable spaces for our dreamers.
“With great power comes great responsability.” -Stan Lee
We’re a tool to help fellow humans go from a good present to an even better future. This is why we can’t label ourselves simply as designers. We’re creators, transformers. Understanding what we have in our hands and turning it into the driving force for everything we do is what allows us to create extraordinary projects.
We firmly believe in co-creation. Each project is unique because we work as a team, add up our knowledge and multiply results, regardless of whether it is a chef, a family or a developer who places trust in us. The more the projects resemble their creators, the better they’ll be.
We choose to be a pack, a tribe; we choose to be hunters and transformers. Where many see a simple dream, we see possibilities. Seeing creativity and service to one’s fellows as a starting point to reach the realm of the unimaginable and converting visions into their physical state becomes an obsession.
“The stronger the identity, the more it imprisons, the more it resists expansion, interpretation, renewal, contradiction.” -Rem Koolhas

What we do
Arkham Projects is a Mexican architecture and design firm with national and international experience that specializes in real estate development, high-end residential architecture, master plans and hospitality, and seeks to combine differentiation and creativity in design with efficiency and an understanding of the needs of the business and the user. It is based in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico, and was founded in 2013 by Min Peniche Calafell (CCO – Dreamshaper) and Jorge Duarte Torre (CEO – Dreamchaser). It designs custom homes anywhere in Mexico or abroad, and architecture for real estate developers in any Mexican city: vertical buildings and master plans. It works in stages, schematic design (anteproyecto) and construction documents (proyecto ejecutivo), and provides construction administration and site supervision. It also designs interiors and ephemeral architecture (temporary structures, spaces and installations for exhibitions, events, fairs and commercial and cultural activations), and helps clients choose a plot. It does not build or handle permits: construction is carried out by a builder the firm trusts or one chosen by the client. Arkham has more than 100 projects to its name and has received more than 70 national and international awards and recognitions. Its portfolio includes homes, apartment buildings, restaurants, offices, retail centers and a hotel, mostly in Mérida and several in Quintana Roo.
Spaces Inspired
by humans
Behind each project, there is a countless amount of people and stories that shape a vision, bringing it to reality and giving life to unique and personal spaces. Each fulfilled dream is a part of the vehicle that inspires us to continue turning people’s goals and yearnings into habitable spaces that invite them to seek transcendence to tell, alongside us, a new story full of legacy.
WHAT YOU ENVISION, WE BRING TO LIFE.
“An Idea is Salvation by Imagination” – Frank Lloyd Wright
